Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) audit checklist
Applies to: Every establishment to which the EPF & MP Act, 1952 applies (generally 20 or more employees).
Governing law: Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 and the EPF Scheme, 1952; subsumed by Chapter III of the Code on Social Security, 2020 (rules pending notification).

Employees' State Insurance (ESI) audit checklist
Applies to: Establishments with 10 or more employees in implemented areas drawing wages up to ₹21,000 per month (₹25,000 for persons with disabilities).
Governing law: Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 and ESI (General) Regulations, 1950; subsumed by Chapter IV of the Code on Social Security, 2020 (rules pending notification).

Shops & Establishments audit checklist
Applies to: Commercial establishments, shops, offices and IT/ITeS units, governed by the State Shops & Establishments Act of the State in which the unit is located.
Governing law: State-specific Shops & Establishments Acts (Tamil Nadu 1947, Karnataka 1961, Maharashtra Shops & Establishments (RECS) Act 2017, Delhi 1954, Telangana 1988).

Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) audit checklist
Applies to: Principal employer with 50 or more contract workers (threshold under the OSH Code, 2020 s.45; predecessor CLRA Act threshold was 20).
Governing law: Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 and CLRA Central Rules, 1971; subsumed by Chapter XI of the OSH Code, 2020.

Applies to: Manufacturing premises that are factories under the Factories Act, 1948 or 'establishments' covered by the OSH Code, 2020 (threshold of 10 workers with power or 20 workers without power).
